CONDITIONS AND HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA
Reimbursement in case of cancellation due to Corona
Brandbjerg Højskole is working hard to give you a safe and secure stay. We are hosting many groups and activities in our house, and therefore we have taken a number of precautions to avoid the spread of infection. Of course, we cannot guarantee that Brandbjerg will continue to be free of Corona, and we understand that you need to know how it might affect your course. That is why we have made this short overview that informs about what will happen if we have to cancel a course or a trip. You are always welcome to contact us if you need more information.
In the event of the closure of the school or the dismissal of the entire student body as a result of a Corona outbreak, no full refund will be given in the first three weeks because digital tuition is offered during this period. If the closure extends over more than three weeks, a full refund will be given for the subsequent period.
For students from abroad who cannot participate as a result of entry or exit bans, a full refund is given for the course payment.
If the student is subject to quarantine requirements upon entry, the student must arrange entry so that the quarantine period can be complied with and organise and pay for the stay during this period before arriving at the folk high school.
For all students on the school’s short courses, there is a full refund if the course is canceled as a result of a Corona outbreak. However, this does not apply if the student cancels even though the course is completed.
In case of cancellation because there is uncertainty about whether the trip can be completed safely and without subsequent quarantine, a full refund or replacement trip will be offered at in Denmark or abroad. There is also a full refund if the trip is canceled as a direct result of a Corona outbreak.
For students from countries which are marked orange on the travel advisory of the Danish Foreign Ministry, there is a mandatory 14 day quarantine period in Denmark before entering the school and the student has to arrange the travel and stay accordingly and pay for the extra two week stay in Denmark by themselves.

Quarantine due to Corona in the school
Brandbjerg Højskole has an action plan for dealing with cases of Corona infection in the school. If there is an outbreak in the school, students and staff will be sent home and will only be allowed to return after a negative Covid-19 test and a period of quarantine. However, we are aware that international students will not be able to return home with a short notice. Therefore, international students will be able to quarantine in the school and we will take measures to make sure that their needs are provided for during the quarantine period.

In connection with enrollment at Brandbjerg Højskole , your data is recorded in Brandbjerg Højskoles CRM System, Komit, according to the following guidelines:
Processing of personal data
The personal data you submit will be processed at the Brandbjerg Folk High School Secretariat and/or Marketing Department. The treatment is for the sole purpose of registering your enrollment for a given course or event, or for sending the ordered material.
Your personal information is treated confidentially and only the necessary employees have access to your personal data and files.
Storing personal data
Your personal data will be stored in a safe database in our CRM system. Even if you do not sign up for a course or event that you have been interested in, or if you unsubscribe, we will save your information for a future contact, unless you specifically ask us to delete them. This must be done by contacting Brandbjerg Højskole. You have the right to know what information is registered about you, as well as you have the right to demand any information about you deleted. This is also done by contacting Brandbjerg Højskole.
Disclosure of personal data
Brandbjerg Højskole does not share your information with unauthorized 3rd party. However, Brandbjerg Højskole use affiliated/group companies or third parties to trade on behalf of Brandbjerg Højskole. By accepting these terms, you also agree that Brandbjerg Højskole, when necessary, may share certain information with 3rd party.
Requirements for information
You must make sure that the personal data you provide are correct and adequate. Please do not include sensitive information such as race, religion, sexual orientation or health.
Should some of your data/information change, we encourage you to update them. This is done by contacting Brandbjerg Højskole.
Brandbjerg Højskole reserves the right, at any time, to delete data if the above is not obtained.
Newsletters or similar marketing material
When registering in our system, please be aware that you agree that Brandbjerg Højskole sends you e-mails in the form of newsletters regarding Brandbjerg Højskole’s future courses and events. For the purpose of sending newsletters and other marketing materials, your name, e-mail and possibly phonenumber is registered. We use Mailchimp as a newsletter system and you can unsubscribe at any time via the newsletter or by contacting Brandbjerg Højskole.
The consent for this can be revoked at any time by contacting Brandbjerg High School.
All data is stored on secure servers from our partner Komit and is based on the most common security regulations in encryption and other security.
Use of data for statistical purposes
Your entered data can be used for statistical processing, in order to improve the recruitment process for the user as well as Brandbjerg Højskole
Your data will be stored for up to 5 years, and then a few anonymized data will be retained for statistical purposes.
